PORT CHARLOTTE - Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics detectives raided a major Port Charlotte drug trafficking home Monday and arrested 4 people on a total of 30 charges.
Detectives made two previous undercover drug buys Sep. 21 and 24 at 18173 Hillsborough Blvd., and yesterday served a search warrant. Three of the four arrested lived in the home, they are: Julie Tonya Chambers, 21; Jason T. Chambers, 28; and Tabatha Sue Ricker, 22. The other arrest James Edward Smith, 38, 5705 Gallatin Lane, North Port.
A search of the home found 29.2 grams of Heroin, plus numerous quantities of Oxycodone, Roxicodone, Valium, Marijuana, Lorcet, Alprazolam, Soma, and Tylenol with Codeine. Various narcotics equipment was also seized and a hollow point bullet.
Julie Chambers was charged with Sale and Delivery of Roxicodone, Oxycodone and Alprazolam; Possession of Alprazolam, Roxicodone (2x), Valium, Soma, Tylenol with Codeine, Narcotics Equipment (2x) and Marijuana. Jason Chambers was charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Opiates, Marijuana, Lorcet, Narcotics Equipment, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, and Probation Violation for Possession of Cocaine. Tabatha Ricker was charged with two counts of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Narcotics Equipment. James Smith was charged with Sale and Delivery of Roxicodone and Oxycodone, Possession of Oxycodone, Marijuana and two counts of Possession of Narcotics Equipment. All except Tabatha Ricker remain in the County Jail; Ricker posted bond this morning.
